WILMINGTON, NC—PolyQuest, Inc. has announced its participation in the Plastic Industry Association’s (PLASTICS) latest advocacy campaign, Recycling Is Real is dedicated to illustrating and promoting plastic recycling. Recycling Is Real will provide content to help elected officials and policymakers understand that recycling is a vital link in the sustainability and circularity chain, enabling more well-informed decisions about recycling resources for their constituents.

The campaign features first-hand responses from the PolyQuest team at PQ Recycling in NY, who are putting recycling into action every day. This video is comprised not only of PolyQuest employees, but also shares the story of a father, wife, and son who come to work each day dedicated to the cause.

PolyQuest and the plastics industry are committed to sustainability and ensuring plastic remains in the circular economy, and out of the environment—and recycling is an integral part of achieving this goal.  This video shows that recycling is undeniable and it’s happening every day at PolyQuest.

“We are thankful to support the Recycling is Real campaign by highlighting one of our facilities and are honored to share more about what our team is doing,” said Monica Filyaw, Director of Quality, Safety, and Regulatory Affairs at PolyQuest. We remain committed to sustainability and are a proud recycler of plastics in both the post-consumer and post-industrial streams. Together we can do more.”

“Plastic recycling is very real, and it happens every single day across America,” said PLASTICS’ President and CEO Matt Seaholm. “The Recycling Is Real campaign allows both the public and lawmakers to see for themselves the extraordinary role recycling plays in the circular economy, making it undeniable that recycling is not only effective but is a feasible and economical way to achieve our shared sustainability goals.”
